Hi, I’m Laura Abbott – founder of Riley.dog.

With over a decade of experience in the pet care industry, I’ve owned and operated pet hotels, doggie daycares, and currently run dog grooming salons in both Ireland and the United States with my husband, Paul. Through this journey, one thing became clear: traveling with pets, especially in-cabin, is far more complicated than it should be.

That’s why I created Riley.dog— to take the stress and confusion out of pet travel. We’re here to simplify the entire process, ensure you’re fully compliant with all regulations, and most importantly, give you peace of mind that your pet is safe and by your side.

Over the past 15 years, Paul and I have traveled extensively between Ireland, the UK, and the US — always with our beloved dogs (and now our kids!) in tow. We’ve done it all: cargo flights, ferry crossings, long road trips, and flights through Europe to America. Wherever possible, we’ve had our pets fly in-cabin with us, and you’d be surprised how calm they were – the hum of the plane seemed to soothe them right to sleep.

The world is becoming more pet-friendly every day, and bringing your furry companion along for the ride is no longer such a far-fetched idea. Whether it’s your first time flying with your pet or you’re planning a cross-continent adventure, I’m here to help guide you through it all.
